Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Optometric Technician to join our team. This role is a vital part of our telehealth practice, working directly with patients to ensure a smooth and comprehensive eye care experience. The primary responsibilities of this position include working up patients, which involves conducting pretesting and diagnostic procedures. You will be responsible for performing a refraction to assist in determining the patient's eyeglass prescription, a key component of their virtual eye exam. Additionally, you will be responsible for administrative tasks such as billing vision insurance to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims. A strong work ethic and excellent attendance are a must for this role. While prior experience is highly preferred, we are willing to train a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow in the field of optometry. If you are a team player with a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient pretesting, including auto-refraction, tonometry, and visual acuity tests.

  • Greeting and checking in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and information are completed.
  • Manage patient flow and communication between the patient and the remote optometrist.
  • Accurately bill and submit insurance claims, verify coverage, and collect payments.
