Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient pretesting, including auto-refraction, tonometry, and visual acuity tests.
  • Conduct manual and/or automated refractions to obtain an accurate eyeglass prescription.
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and information are completed.
  • Manage patient flow and communication between th

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient pretesting, including auto-refraction, tonometry, and visual acuity tests.
  • Conduct manual and/or automated refractions to obtain an accurate eyeglass prescription.
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and information are completed.
  • Manage patient flow and communication between the patient and the remote optometrist.
  • Accurately bill and submit insurance claims, verify coverage, and collect payments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address patient questions or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of optical terminology, procedures, and insurance billing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively to our various practice locations. This position will require you to travel between Nebraska and Colorado. You may also be asked to travel to our other locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida and/or Georgia.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
